What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer.

イエスこそわれらが友、罪も悲しみも引き受けて、
祈りによって、すべてを神に届ける特典、
ひとはしばしば平和を放棄し、不必要な痛みに耐える、
祈りによって、すべてを神に届けないから。

試練や誘惑があるだろうか、苦しみもありえない。
祈りによって、すべてを神に届ければ、落胆することもありえない。
イエスほどの友がどこにいよう、すべての悲しみを分かち合う、
人の弱さを知り尽くし、祈りによって、すべてを神に届けてくれる。
